SWISS has partnered with Synhelion, becoming the first airline in the world to use solar fuel (sustainable aviation fuel).​

SWISS and the Lufthansa Group have the highest share of sustainable aviation fuel of any airline in both the B2B and B2C segments.

One flight at a time​

Annually, our Boeing 777 fleet uses 4,800 tonnes less fuel and reduces CO2 emissions by 15,200 tonnes.

Reducing waste​

SWISS has banned single-use plastics and single-use aluminium on its flights and reduced food-and-beverage-related waste by 50%.
